Effectiveness of Cyclone Separators

Cyclone Separator

What are Cyclone Separators?

Cyclone separation is a method of removing particulates from an air, gas, dust or liquid stream, without the use of filters. Cyclone separators are a group of air pollution control devices called as pre-cleaners, generally used to remove larger pieces from the device. This eliminates finer filtration methods from having to deal with large and more abrasive particles later one. Further, several cyclone separators can operate in parallel, and when this is set up the system is known as a multi-cyclone separator.

Uses of Cyclone Separators:

  • Cyclone Separators used in oil refineries to separate oils and gases
  • Used in cement industry as components of kiln pre-heaters.
  • Cyclones are also used in industrial & professional kitchen ventilation for separating the grease from the exhaust air systems in extraction hoods.
  • Cyclones are increasingly used in the household, as the core technology in bagless types of portable and central vacuum cleaners.
  • Smaller cyclones separators are used to separate airborne particles for analysis.
Cyclone separators are more beneficial because they aren’t expensive to install or maintain, and they have no moving parts. This keeps maintenance costs low and reduces operating costs as well. In addition, the removed particulates are collected when dry, which makes it easier to dispose of. Finally, this unit takes up less space and is more economical to operate.

Pulse Jet Bag Filter

Essar Enviro Air Systems is a leading Pulse Jet Bag Filter Manufacturers and Suppliers in Hyderabad, India. Since 2007, we have been in the business of supplying quality, corrosion resistant air pollution control equipments to our valuable customers.

Quality Pulse Jet Bag Filter:

Essar Enviro Air Systems range of Pulse Jet Bag Filter come in varied shapes, sizes, and filter bag layouts to fit a broad range of industrial applications. But the cleaning cycle is same throughout the working process. Dust-laden air or gas enters the Pulse Jet Bag Filter through a hopper inlet where it is directed towards deflector that slows the airflow and also causes unwanted particles to fall directly into the hopper.

Lighter airborne particles follow the air stream into the filter area and collect on the outside surfaces of the bag filters. The filtered air then flows into the clean air plenum and exits the unit. Sequential signals from a timer open valves allowing short bursts of compressed air to reverse the airflow in each row of filter bags. This dislodges the surface dust from the pulse jet bags so that it falls into the hopper.
